TIP TWO: Articles and Content Creation

Wording on the page is probably the most important aspect of optimising your website for natural results. Content your clients will like and keyword rich content the search engines will rank you for. Research the words that people are actually searching for and use these words in the titles and subtitle headings of your pages.

Firstly find the most searched for keywords and phrases relating to your business products and services. Put in variations to check the difference in popularity. Wordtracker has a system which tells you how many websites actually compete for a search term so look for high search term and low competition.

Popular keyword research pic-2 copytools include:

Once you have selected the words and phrases to target write 300-500 word articles on these subjects.

Tip: Your website content must be unique. Do not copy from around the Internet. Besides copyright issues the search engines are well and truly onto this and can tell where web page content originated. If all your pages are copied you might not be indexed at all.

TIP THREE: Write a Story Board A storyboard can be as simple or as advanced as you need it to be. It can be drawn onto a scrap piece of paper or use graphics in a word document. It will help you understand how the website is going to be laid out and how clients are going to navigate the pages. Use the page and navigation titles based on - tip two’s articles and content creation.
